How to Automate WordPress and Social Media with IFTTT



Some users wonder how to update Facebook from their blog or automatically tweet every time a post is published. There are tons of methods to do this with plugins but, if you don’t want to use a plugin there is another way. In this video, we will show you hpw to auto,ate WordPress and social media with IFTTT.

Summary of this Tutorial:

Start by going to the IFTTT website and create a account.

Ensure your site has XML-RPC enabled under Settings, Writing(3.5 and higher versions of WordPress should have this enabled)

In IFTTT you will be able to choose what actions to take for where(post to facebook when you publish a post)

When you select a action it will ask for your login credentials for your WordPress and other service chosen.

A list of these are under the WordPress channel on the IFTTT website.
